BINGO!

I recently had my first chance at calling a game of Bingo. Will Clark hosts a night called "Porno Bingo" at a bar in the Village. You play bingo, the money goes to charity, and you can win some porn and hobnob with a porn guy or two. I was a guest caller (and did NOT take off any clothes. This time.)

I grew up in a small town in Maine. Our only special weekend in my town was The Egg Festival; believe it or not we really did have an egg theme carnival. I could horrify you with stories (like the parachuting chicken) but I won't... though I will tell you that the carnival always featured bingo. The game was always called by a man named Donny, and he's the kind of guy that can only get by in a town that "takes care of it's people." In another time and place he'd be swallowed up, or locked away- but in a small town he's just another one of the eccentrics. Anyhow, Donny always called bingo, and it was the only game in town. I could never have gotten it away from him, so finally I got my shot. Thanks, Will!

The money raised went to Braking the Cycle, a highly worthy group. I donated a few shirts and they sold for a handsome price to raise more money. Much fun was had by all.
