Big Gay Little Go-Go

This week was quite exciting. We announced our book, and I'll give that a whole post in a day. We started the truck season, and we sold out each day. Unreal.
We also had our bestest pal Jane Wiedlin in town. You surely know that Jane wrote The Big Gay Ice Cream Song for us, and that we partied with her at Humphry Solocombe last August. Jane rarely gets to the east coast, so for her to be in New York City and playing two solo sets at Iridium was an amazing treat. To celebrate she and I went on The Frank DeCaro Show on Sirius/XM to blab about it.
Jane's sets with Les Paul Trio were damned excellent. The band, well- they were honestly quite *meh.* Unprepared, and stylistically unable to get away from diddly filler. Jane, though, really lit into her vocals. Quite impressive.
The following day she managed to swing by the truck and say hello. I sent her to eat at ABC Kitchen, then she came back and hopped on the truck, serving cones and making change. She's a hard worker, that lil' go-go.
Here's the interview we did with Frank. Remember that it's satellite radio, so we get mildly risque.
